ACAC
ACAC seeks to translate well-founded research about Canada’s role in the DRC into practical policy recommendations, for which ACAC and supporters can intelligently advocate.
We work to see all facets of Canadian society working to secure gender rights to build human security in Africa, with the ultimate goal of building a relationship between Canada and the DRC relationship that is mutually beneficial. ACAC works to:
- Establish a dialogue with corporate leaders in the region
- Engage with political actors
- Critically examine aid and development projects and priorities initiated by both international organizations and non-profits
- Demand accountability to international law and treaties by both Canada and the DRC
- Produce academic research which continually examines recommendations for the Canadian government to undertake in response to the situation on the ground
